Late afternoon, quiet. The landlord and chef were designing a 7 course taster menu that this pub now features apparently. Still a nice feel to this pub even with their food focus. But now £5 a pint.
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Copper Top | 4.10
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried

Beer and cider festival with live music in the garden. I believe that his pub has changed hands on the last year. It was delightful and busy today in the afternoon sunshine.
Adnams - Mosaic Pale Ale | 4.10 | | Great taste, great condition. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Seasider | 4.30 | | Straight from the barrel in the garden bar. It a little warm but ta tasty. |
Dartmoor - Jail Ale | 4.80
Mad Cat - Crispin Pale Ale | 4.90 | | Excellent condition but a little lacking in flavour and body for a 4.9 |
Nelson - Midshipman Mild | 4.00 | Not Tried
Nelson - Sirius | 4.00 | Not Tried

Lunchtime. Unfortunately just one ale on. Normally more. Very pleasant staff - a few eaters in - open all day 7 days a week and £2.50 a pint all day Friday.
Good gardens and some of the paraphernalia retained from the infamous Robert's days. Nice.
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40

We walked from Grove Ferry across the marsh. The pub was fairly busy with diners. I recall it being a bit more countrified than this.
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | | Bit cold but quite drinkable |
Adnams - Ghost Ship | 4.50 | Not Tried

We'd been to Wingham and watched the local cricket team (picture an assortment of characters from Alice in Wonderland dressed in white pretending desperately to look like they knew what was going on). The Red Lion was busy about 20 past 4 but the friendly bar maid got our drinks swiftly. We sat in the garden and enjoyed the late summer sun.
Goody Ales - Bleangate Brewery - Good Try | 3.80 | | Dark brown. Oaky notes. Soft in mouth. Some candy on the finish |
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried

Walked in from Fordwich. Gorgeous day and unfortunately for us too many people doing the same thing so no room for food. Sat in the garden and listened to the birds.
Sharp's - Coaster (or Cornish Coaster) | 3.60 | | Little too warm and not the freshest, I was thirsty though so it vanished quick. |
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried

Very food oriented - only diners in except me - hardly any drinking space inside (but a nice garden). 2 beers on gravity.
Goody Ales - Bleangate Brewery - Goodness Gracious Me! | 4.80 | | Fresh and full of life - straight from the barrel tapped today. |
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried

Went for a walk around the bird reserve and then came here for a drink. The interior of the pub is lovely but we sat out in the garden as we had Isabel with us.
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | | Good condition but it's such a harsh beer on gravity. Lots or really rough hops on the finish. Not pleasant drinking. |

Lovely quaint pub out in a small village north east of Canterbury. Interior has several small rooms with a central bar. Pretty garden with chickens in evidence. Definitely worth a visit
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | | Served on gravity. Perfectly acceptable session beer with nothing too note worthy. |
Greene King - Morland Old Speckled Hen | 4.50 | Not Tried

We cycled here from Wingham and it was a beautifully hot and slightly humid May day. We arrived at about mid-day and it was beginning to fill up.
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | | It was on gravity and tasted like a best bitter would. Nothing overly special but nice |
Greene King - Morland Old Speckled Hen | 4.50 | Not Tried
