I passed this pub 8 years ago before opening time - but made up for it today with a short cycle out from Waterlooville. Very comfortable, corporate style. I sat in a sumptuous leather armchair in front of a welcoming log fire on the Clanfield side of the boundary and chatted to a couple on a sofa in Hambledon - just six feet away!

The pub is found in Hambledon, Hampshire, PO8 0UB.

Large detached corner house on country lanes 2 miles from the village centre in Hyden Farm Lane. The pub is adjacent to the Hambledon Cricket Club ground on Broadhalfpenny Down, the cradle of the modern game. A Fuller’s house modernised on corporate lines but retaining much cricketing memorabilia bedecking the walls - including a full-size score board. Although nominally in Hambledon part of the pub is over the parish boundary in Clanfield - with a white line running through the wooden lounge floor showing the demarcation.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
