Evening. Signage as A Taste of Portugal now obscures all old Globe & Engine nameboards. Clearly no longer a pub as sign says alcohol is only served with a meal. Had to walk on by.

Just time for a pint before the train, a few locals in didn't seem particularly friendly so didn't hang around, although I'm sure they're prefectly nice.

The pub is found in Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 3DW.

Sheps tied house next to Sittingbourne railway station. Closed and boarded up for a period in 2012 but now re-opened. At July 2013 all the signing shows "A Taste of Portugal" although Shepherd Neame branding remains and the venue is still listed on the Sheps website. Clearly no longer a pub as a poster in a glass fronted cabinet by the front door says "Please note this is a Café/Restaurant. Alcohol is only served with a meal from 1100 a.m.".

We have visited this pub twice, seen 1 beer and tried it.
